There’s This Place
The canvases in the collection expand on my observations of the coastlines and harbours near my home on the Sunshine Coast of BC. While still infused with magical and imaginary details, I'm attempting to portray the character and feeling of the real places I've fallen in love with more with painterly expressiveness than with narrative ideas. The titles in this series relate to nostalgia, the way it feels to think about places that have been meaningful, and are likely no longer the way you remember them.
